Shinjuku Highball

Shinjuku is the government district in Tokyo, where the famous Shibuya Crossing is located. Known for highball bars, delicacies, and fast-paced life. A light, refreshing drink.

  • 5 cl ENSŌ blended Whisky
  • 2 cl Lime Juice
  • 1 cl Yuzu Syrup
  • 10 cl Ginger Beer

Preparation:

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour ENSŌ Blended Whisky into the glass. Add 2 cl lime juice and 1 cl yuzu syrup, and top with 10 cl ginger beer. Stir the drink gently to mix the ingredients and garnish with fresh mint.

Golden Gai

Golden Gai is the nightlife district in Tokyo, still styled like the 1980s. Golden Gai is meant to be all about fun.

  • 5 cl ENSŌ Whisky
  • 4 cl Coconut Milk
  • 2 cl Orange Juice
  • 2 cl Passion Fruit Syrup
  • Nori Seaweed Sheet

Preparation:

Combine ENSŌ Whisky, coconut milk, orange juice, and passion fruit syrup in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously until the mix is well chilled. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass. Attach a small piece of nori seaweed sheet to the glass rim or place it on top of the drink.

Tanzawa Fizz

This drink is meant to evoke the landscape between Tokyo and the Tanzawa region. Cherry trees and melons grow here, and in spring, the landscape feels very free, light, and enchanting.

  • 4 cl ENSŌ Whisky
  • 1,5 cl Melon Syrup (light melon)
  • 1 cl Lime Juice
  • 10 cl Cherry Blossom Tonic
  • Shiso Leaf

Preparation:

Fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour ENSŌ Whisky and melon syrup into the glass, add lime juice, and top with cherry blossom tonic. Stir the drink gently to mix the ingredients and garnish with a shiso leaf.

Alcohol-Free Variant:

For a non-alcoholic version of this cocktail, replace ENSŌ Whisky with Tanzawa Lemonade.

ENSŌ Whisky Sour

Inspired by the art and culture of Japan. This creation brings the balance and harmony of Japanese tradition into a glass, offering a refreshing, slightly tangy taste experience.

  • 5 cl ENSŌ Blended Whisky
  • 3 cl fresh Lemon Juice
  • 2 cl simple Syrup
  • 1 Egg white (optional, for a creamy texture)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon Slice and Cocktail Cherry (for garnish)

Preparation:

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Pour ENSŌ Blended Whisky, fresh lemon juice an simple syrup into the shaker. Optionally, add 1 egg white. Shake the shaker vigorously until the mixture is well chilled. If using egg white, shake first without ice (dry shake), then add ice and shake again. Strain the cocktail through a bar strainer into an Old Fashioned glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon slice.
